Built for Forsyth County, this Animal Control unit remount gives their existing module a refreshed platform on a 2026 Ford F-250 4x4 gas extended-cab chassis. The project includes a complete chassis demount and remount, along with the transfer of the existing console and front switch panel, new chassis preparation for the Animal Control module, and updated under-hood electrical components. The new chassis also receives a modified exhaust system, a Feniex Shield 14W backup alarm, and a new under-hood wiring harness with a 300A Megafuse to support the vehicle's electrical systems.
The Animal Control module is mounted onto the new chassis with updated components designed to provide a proper fit and reliable operation. The project includes four new chassis outriggers, a new fuel-fill hose and copper plumbing, and other chassis preparation completed in accordance with Ford QVM guidelines. Existing exterior lighting is carefully removed before the module receives its finish work and is then reinstalled after painting and graphics are completed, allowing Forsyth County to retain the lighting equipment already suited to their unit.
The exterior receives a complete visual refresh with the Animal Control module refinished in Ford White and fitted with new ETA-supplied Animal Control graphics. The unit is also thoroughly detailed and sanitized before delivery, giving the existing module a clean, refreshed appearance while preserving the functionality of the equipment already in place.
The vehicle's emergency and climate-control systems are also updated as part of the remount. Forsyth County's existing Whelen 295HFS siren and speaker are transferred and reinstalled, while the HVAC system receives a complete replacement. The existing console and switch panel are also transferred to the new chassis and inspected to ensure proper operation, keeping familiar controls in place while giving the unit an updated foundation.
The result is a thoughtfully updated Animal Control unit that allows Forsyth County to continue utilizing its existing module while investing in a new chassis, refreshed exterior, updated electrical systems, improved climate control, and renewed emergency equipment integration. The completed remount provides a clean, dependable platform designed to keep Forsyth County's Animal Control team ready for the calls-and the animals-they serve.
Key Features
ETA's remount capabilities are not limited to Frazer units; its inventory and project portfolio show remounts across different ambulance configurations. Whether a particular module can be remounted depends on its construction, condition, chassis compatibility, and specifications, so ETA should evaluate the individual unit before confirming a project.
ETA brings multiple emergency vehicle solutions together under one roof. With ambulance remounts, factory-direct Frazer vehicles, High Ground Conversion Type II ambulances, QRVs, supervisor and chief vehicles, vehicle accessories, custom fabrication and design, financing, and emergency vehicle inventory, departments aren't limited to a one-size-fits-all solution. ETA combines more than 45 years of team experience with a customer-focused approach designed to help agencies find the right vehicle for their mission and budget.
The right answer depends on your module's condition, budget, desired configuration, timeline, and long-term fleet plan. For a suitable module, an ETA remount can offer approximately 30%-45% savings and a published turnaround of approximately 30-90 days. Departments needing an entirely new module or significantly different vehicle may be better served by a new ambulance. ETA can help compare the options before you make that decision.
