Ambulance Remounts
2026
CK3500
Marshall, NC
Built for Madison Medic EMS, this remount gives their existing AEV ambulance module a fresh start on a new 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD 4x2 diesel chassis powered by the 6.6L Duramax. Rather than simply transferring the module, the project incorporates a range of updates designed to refresh the unit for its next chapter of frontline service. Exterior improvements include an ETA-style rear bumper, new kick plate and corner guards, new weather stripping and fenderettes, refreshed rub rails, new graphics, and an updated Whelen/Feniex emergency lighting package. Existing components including the console, battery switch, Kussmaul shoreline and Whelen siren are being transferred where appropriate, allowing Madison Medic EMS to retain proven equipment while upgrading the overall platform.
Inside, the module receives additional attention with new EVS attendant seating featuring an integrated child-safety restraint, interior upholstery updates, Formica repairs, new fasteners and trim where needed, and HVAC upgrades including a new Danhard 12V system and condenser. The completed remount will also receive new department graphics, a backup camera system, refreshed exterior electrical components, and ETA’s remount testing and certification process. The result is a familiar AEV module renewed around a modern Chevrolet chassis-preserving Madison Medic EMS’s existing investment while updating key systems, appearance, safety features and functionality for continued service.
Key Features
A Type I ambulance uses a modular patient compartment mounted on a truck-style chassis. A Type II is a van-based ambulance, such as ETA's Ford Transit 350-based High Ground Conversion. A Type III uses a modular patient compartment on a cutaway van chassis. ETA offers solutions across all three categories.
