The exterior of the Frazer features a MEPS power source, premium Tier 2 and Tier 3 graphics packages, Supertherm roof coating, an anti-corrosion/weatherproof package, Dri-Deck compartment flooring, ground lighting and custom Whelen scene and warning lights. The unit also incorporates a 76" O2 stand-up compartment with an electric O2 cylinder lift, adjustable storage and additional exterior lighting throughout the module.
Inside, Surry County selected a Gunmetal Grey interior with stainless-steel countertops, custom cabinetry, additional storage and a Medi-Kool dual-temperature saline unit. The patient compartment also includes a Knox MedVault, custom squad bench storage, additional suction capability, a Hamilton T-1 ventilator mount, multiple USB/USB-C charging locations, custom IV storage and additional crew-focused configurations throughout the module.
The result is a highly customized 14' Frazer ambulance built around Surry County EMS's operational needs, combining advanced suspension, integrated medical equipment, extensive storage, crew-focused features and patient-care technology. The unit is finished with Loncoin II Onyx flooring, a Stryker cot tower, new Stryker Power-LOAD Gen 2, and a captain's chair with child safety seat and 4-point harness.
Key Features
A Type I ambulance uses a modular patient compartment mounted on a truck-style chassis. A Type II is a van-based ambulance, such as ETA's Ford Transit 350-based High Ground Conversion. A Type III uses a modular patient compartment on a cutaway van chassis. ETA offers solutions across all three categories.
The right answer depends on your module's condition, budget, desired configuration, timeline, and long-term fleet plan. For a suitable module, an ETA remount can offer approximately 30%-45% savings and a published turnaround of approximately 30-90 days. Departments needing an entirely new module or significantly different vehicle may be better served by a new ambulance. ETA can help compare the options before you make that decision.
ETA brings multiple emergency vehicle solutions together under one roof. With ambulance remounts, factory-direct Frazer vehicles, High Ground Conversion Type II ambulances, QRVs, supervisor and chief vehicles, vehicle accessories, custom fabrication and design, financing, and emergency vehicle inventory, departments aren't limited to a one-size-fits-all solution. ETA combines more than 45 years of team experience with a customer-focused approach designed to help agencies find the right vehicle for their mission and budget.
